I think you're confused about the difference between a font and a style. Is there a way to set to "DaNote" as first option and if it's not yet in the dwg, set to Standard so that an error will not occur? Also, I would like to add a line to set to the standard dim style w/ similar settings but couldn't figure out the proper command lines. I've set the lisp to set our standard font "DaNote" which works fine unless this font is not yet in the dwg. It could also bring in Layers, Linetypes, Block definitions, and other stuff. It could also contain the DaNote Text Style, in which case you could keep your "textstyle" code line as it is, if the insertion comes before that. You might be better off inserting a drawing that has nothing drawn in it but contains that Dimension Style definition. The Dimension Style one is more complicated, because there are SO MANY dimension variables - you could fill up as much code as you've already got just setting all of them before using Dimstyle Save to define the combination. That will leave it as the current Style, so there's no need to set that via the Textstyle system variable, or settle for Standard as a substitute. From your use of DaNote as a Textstyle system variable setting, I assume it's a Style name, not a font name. On the Text font issue, it's not a question of whether the font is in the drawing, but whether the Style has been defined - you can't set a Style to be current that isn't defined.
